The Corporate Finance team provides general corporate finance advice and structuring solutions to clients. The team which is based in Guernsey has international experience, and is also able to draw upon the resources of the other Corporate Finance teams within the group in completing mandates. In the past it has provided advice and finance to both open and closed ended investment schemes. In particular the team pioneered the use of synthetic zero coupon finance for closed-ended investment companies. If appropriate to the circumstances the Corporate Finance team is able to make use of its expertise in derivatives in tailoring a solution for clients. The Corporate Finance team has a background in property, and has advised a leading Housing Association on the raising of finance. It was part of a team that structured and placed debt by an SPV financing a portfolio of property developments and has also advised on the realisation of a large portfolio of equity linked mortgages.
